Big news! I decided to start writing this website in first person ;) Here are some other things that have happened in the past year:
I signed with Erin Grush and the whole amazing team at CESD for theatrical representation!
THE ADULTS, a very special film by Dustin Guy Defa that I was very proud to be a small part of premiered internationally at Berlinale, and stateside at Tribeca Film Festival.
I starred in SWEETGREEN, a short film by Phillip Vernon (DP’ed by my very cool cousin Elijah Guess) that premiered at NewFest.
I read the short story MAKE YOURSELF INTO A HOUSE, winner of the 2022 Stella Kupferberg Memorial Short Story Prize written by Grace Shuyi Liew for Symphony Space’s SELECTED SHORTS broadcast on NPR hosted by Dennis O’Hare sharing the stage with Arian Moyad, Jennifer Mudge and James Naughton.
I then returned to Symphony Space as an actor for their ALL WRITE program reading alongside Pascal Armand and Philip Estrera
I also participated in a bunch of readings/workshops of new plays, a few of my favorites being:
Alex Lin’s BARREN directed by Margaret Lee for the Frontera Series produced by Ryan Duncan Ayala
Garrett Kim’s WHERE YOU GO WHEN YOU’RE GONE directed by Cara Hihn for Ars Nova’s Playgroup
Miz Hashimoto’s THIS IS NOT A NOH PLAY directed by Seonjae Kim for EST/Youngblood
Alisha Espinosa’s HOW DO WE WANT TO DO THIS directed by Galia Backal for the Latinx Playwrights Circle and New Georges
Jesse Jae Hoon’s I’VE GOT A SINKING FEELING IN THE PIT OF MY STOMACH and THE SHORT LIFE OF SOPHIE SCHOLL
